ED RN Job in Arcata, CA

Join Mad River Community Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, managing acute and emergent cases with skill and compassion.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 day shifts per week (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Duration: 91 days

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $85/hour
• Weekly Pay: $1,755

Requirements

• Active California nursing license (RN)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification

Role Responsibilities

You will assess and triage patients presenting with a wide range of conditions, administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitor vital signs and patient status, document care accurately and timely, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary emergency care team to deliver quality outcomes. Your ability to remain calm, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly will be essential in this dynamic setting.
