Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 6th Floor Telemetry, Med Surg, and Trauma unit with a 33-bed capacity
• Patient ratios of 5 to 6:1
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, unit secretary, 7-8 RNs, and 2-3 PCTs
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, unit secretary, 7-8 RNs, and 2 PCTs
• Utilize equipment including EKG, code cart, Welch Allyn vital machines, vascular Doppler, wound vacs, Cultura Link interpreting services, and Carescape monitors for rhythm monitoring
• Document using Meditech EMR system
• Perform typical unit procedures including small I&Ds, peritoneal dialysis, and thoracentesis
• Administer push medications such as metoprolol with bedside rhythm monitoring
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass basic rhythm test
• Medical surgical experience preferred
• Strong patient focus required
• High energy and positive attitude preferred
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• No cotton jackets permitted; dress code strictly enforced
