Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 34-bed private Medical Surgical Telemetry unit on the 4th floor
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1
• Every other weekend required, no on-call responsibilities
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 3 techs, and 1 DA
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 3 techs from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 1 tech from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Work with equipment including telemetry bedside monitors, vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer Lift, glucometer, pulse ox, scales, and wound vac
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Provide care for complex wounds, administer blood products, and manage pain
• Manage tubes and drains including NG, PEG, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and chest tubes
• Medical Surgical experience required
• Trauma and telemetry experience preferred
• May float to Med Surg and telemetry units (if telemetry certified)
• Required certification: BLS
• Dress code: Navy scrubs
