Med Surg RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical assignment. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 3x12 schedule with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The contract runs 56 weeks, beginning December 7, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,502.

About the Role

You will care for adult patients on a Medical and Pediatrics unit (travelers do not take Pediatrics patients). Patient conditions include respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal. Typical patient ratios are 1:6–7 on nights.

You will float to all inpatient units as needed and work every other weekend and every other holiday rotation. The contract includes 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; the unit typically low census in 4-hour increments and may ask you to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift as needed.

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin RN License
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
