Med Surg RN Job in Mesa, AZ

You will work as an RN on our Med Surg unit at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. This is a travel nursing position offering a 3x12 night shift schedule, with an 89-day contract starting January 4, 2027. Your weekly pay is $2,307.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with professional nursing practice standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers.
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members as appropriate.
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed.
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluations in the patient record in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in Med Surg within the past 12 months.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.
