Med Surg RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will provide direct patient care on our Medical-Surgical unit at Banner Estrella Medical Center, located at 9201 W Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ. This is a night shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week at a weekly rate of $2,307. The assignment runs for 89 days, with a start date of February 7, 2027.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, including discharge planning
• Review patient history, diagnostic results, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal findings to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Delegate and supervise licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel to ensure continuity of care
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participate in shared leadership, education, and mentoring of facility personnel, patients, students, and families

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing within the past 12 months
• BLS certification
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

Physical demands: You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds.
