Telemetry RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Join Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing as a Registered Nurse in a Med Surg/Telemetry float position. You will work nights across multiple inpatient units, gaining broad clinical experience while maintaining work-life balance through predictable scheduling.

Position Details

• Float assignment covering Med Surg, Telemetry, Trauma, Oncology, Heart and Vascular, Neuro, Medicine, and ED Holding/Boarding
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours weekly; option to sign for 48 hours
• Every other weekend required with 3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• No on-call; block scheduling not available
• Patient ratios of 1:4–6

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• IV start skills and telemetry skills
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• Ability to work independently on a large campus
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Clinical Skills Expected

• Cardiac telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Cardiac and vasoactive drip management and titration
• CVA management
• Peripheral line care and oxygen administration
• Preferred: chemotherapy administration and monitoring, phlebotomy, vasoactive drip titration

Patient Population

You will care for adults and geriatric patients across a teaching hospital setting with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.

• Weekly pay: $2,299
• Navy scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days requested time off; no RTO during first week
• No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius
