ED RN Job in Independence, MO

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in a 40+ bed Emergency Department at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. This is a seasonal travel position running 91 days, starting November 30, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 4x12 hour day shifts (7 AM to 7 PM)
• 48 hours guaranteed per week available as an option
• Weekly pay: $2,370

Role Responsibilities

You'll provide direct patient care in a high-volume setting with a 4:1 patient ratio (typically 3 rooms and 1 hall bed during peak times). Your day-to-day work includes IV starts, phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring, and EKG interpretation. You'll collaborate with Charge Nurses, Team Leads, RNs, Advanced Paramedics, Emergency Department Technicians, Mental Health Support Coordinators, and Secretaries.

• Cardiac monitors and EKG machines
• Ultrasound and Belmont Rapid Infuser
• IO Drills and Lifepak devices
• Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Current ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
• Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
• Experience in high-pressure clinical settings preferred
• Strong adaptability and team collaboration skills required

Dress Code

Gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms. Appropriately colored T-shirts are permitted under a nursing scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket.
