ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule
• 36 or 48 hours available per week
• Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Every other holiday required
• Unable to approve time off around Labor Day
• Patient ratios of 4/5 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Work within a 71-bed, 71-room emergency department with a daily census of 165 visits
• Treat Level I Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke, and Chest Pain (STEMI) Center diagnoses
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and more
• Must have either 1 year of Level 1 trauma facility experience or 2 years of Level 2 trauma facility experience out of at least 2 years of total ER experience
• Pediatric patient experience required (does not need to be in a dedicated pediatric ER)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (can submit with TNCC pending but must have before start)
• Virginia nursing license required; pending licenses accepted
• BSN preferred
• Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed
