ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract
• Night shift schedule
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Every other holiday required
• Unable to approve time off around Labor Day
• Patient ratios of 4-5 patients for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Treat patients with diagnoses including Level I Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke, and Chest Pain (STEMI)
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Must have either 1 year of Level 1 trauma facility experience or 2 years of Level 2 trauma facility experience, out of at least 2 years of ER experience
• Experience with pediatric patients required (does not need to be in a dedicated pediatric ER)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Virginia nursing license required; pending licenses accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (can submit with TNCC pending but must have before start)
• BSN preferred
• References required
• Nursys verification required
