Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Oncology

Job Details:

• 3x12 shift schedule with every other weekend requirement
• No on-call required
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5; 1:3 for BMT patients across all shifts
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Will float within service line to meet facility needs
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract; cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length
• Care for adult patients with medical oncology diagnoses including solid tumors (lung, breast, pancreatic), leukemia, and bone conditions; average patient stay of 3-5 days
• Perform IV starts, trach care, port access and central line management, and PICC line care
• Administer blood and blood products and monitor chemotherapy as applicable
• No ventilator management required
• Operate CAD pumps and infusion pump management equipment
• Must pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• BSN preferred
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Required skills include: accessing and managing ports, central line and implanted line care, inpatient oncology, phlebotomy, PICC line care, feeding tube care and management, and starting and maintaining IVs
