Operating Room RN Job in Rochester, NY

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Rochester - Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY. This is a travel position requiring 91 days, with a start date of November 16, 2026. You'll work 4x10 evening shifts and earn $2,657 weekly.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Prior travel healthcare experience mandatory; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Valid New York nursing license in hand at time of submission
• Must be located more than 75 miles from the facility
• Required certifications: BLS and CNOR
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Proficiency with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System required

Clinical Skills:

You must demonstrate competency across diverse surgical specialties, including orthopedic procedures (total joint replacement, spinal fusion, ACL reconstruction, ALIF, XLIF), trauma, neurosurgery (craniotomy, VP shunt insertion, laminectomy/discectomy), vascular procedures (aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair), thoracic procedures (VATS, thoracotomy, lung resection), GYN/urology (hysterectomy, cystectomy, prostatectomy), general surgery (cholecystectomy, colon resection, Whipple, hernia repair), bariatric surgery (gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, lap band), and ENT procedures (laryngectomy, tonsillectomy, tracheostomy). Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement is required.

Work Expectations:

• You'll be expected to float across different OR services
• Call coverage is required
• Block scheduling is available but not guaranteed
• Minimal requested time off preferred; cannot exceed 10 days of RTO
• You'll wear teal scrubs
