RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 3x12 shift schedule working with adult patients on an ENT and Plastic Surgery unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with every other weekend requirement
• Guaranteed hours of 3 shifts per 13-week contract; cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract
• No on-call required
• Float within service line to meet facility needs
• Care for patients with Cuffed/Cuffless Tracheostomies, Total Laryngectomies, Carotid Blow Out Precautions, and Free Flap Patients
• Perform tracheostomy and total laryngectomy care, free flap monitoring, drain care, tube feeding, and wound care
• Utilize skills including central line management, phlebotomy, IV access, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, and PCA management
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; 1+ year with Level I or Teaching Facility experience may be considered
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, BSN
• Epic charting system experience required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Previous charge experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
