ED RN Job in Columbia, SC

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast is seeking a registered nurse for the emergency department. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with a patient ratio of 4:1. Weekend and holiday coverage is required as needed, with no on-call responsibilities.

• Weekly pay: $1,897
• Block schedule accommodations can be requested prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• You may float between Downtown and Northeast campuses based on census and staffing needs

Requirements

• Current SC license or Compact license required before start date
• 2+ years of emergency room experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic experience required
• Royal blue scrubs required

About the Department

The ED handles approximately 110 visits per day across 23 rooms, serving neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Common patient presentations include DKA, stroke, URI, kidney stones, and dislocations. You will be involved in chest tubes, procedural sedation, intubation, and TPA/TNK administration. Equipment includes ventilators and BiPAP.

Interdisciplinary support is available through IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The charting system is Epic.
