Physical Therapist Job in Santa Fe, NM

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM. This is a 91-day contract beginning September 21, 2026, working day shifts from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday with no weekend or on-call requirements.

About the Role

You will assess and treat patients with neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory conditions, using physical and mechanical interventions to restore or maintain function affected by injury or disease. You will develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care while collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team throughout treatment.

Your Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and evaluate each patient before administering treatments
• Perform and direct administration of all physical therapy modalities, including therapeutic exercises, hot moist packs, cryotherapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, continuous passive motion, soft tissue mobilization, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility training
• Maintain contact with referring physicians regarding patient progress and recommend treatment changes when clinically indicated
• Direct and oversee PT Assistants and Rehabilitation Assistants during treatments
• Assemble home programs for patients and provide education to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and complete treatment records including subjective and objective information, assessment, and plan
• Approve and co-sign progress notes written by PT and PT Assistants with temporary licensure
• Complete discharge summaries and send to referring physicians as indicated
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
• Maintain productivity standards and ensure charges correlate with treatment documentation

Requirements

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure
• BLS certification from AHA
• Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills

Compensation and Details

Weekly pay is $2,760. Dress code is khaki pants and white polo. You will be working at CHRISTUS STV Admin Services Building, 2968 Rodeo Park Drive, Santa Fe, NM.
