Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Day and night shifts available: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Self-scheduling with expectation to fill open shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• One winter and one summer holiday requirement
• Possible standby placement, no on-call requirement
• Floating requirements apply
• No RTO approved for the first week of assignment
• 32-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit on the 7th floor
• Patient ratios of 4:1 (50%) and 5:1 (50%)
• Nurse aides on unit with ratios averaging 8:1 to 10:1
• Treat medical/surgical overflow patients and non-acute stroke patients
• Required to titrate drips including insulin and pain medications
• Required to validate telemetry strips (centralized telemetry)
• Work with BiPAP and high flow equipment
• Charge nurse and house supervisor support available
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience with telemetry required
• Epic experience is required
• Acute care setting
• Charting system: Epic
• BSN not required
• No specific scrub color required; professional and clean attire, no denim
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
