Telemetry RN Job in Tacoma, WA

St Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telemetry to join their team on a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts with an every-other-weekend requirement.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide care to 4-5 patients per nurse on Telemetry units
• Manage telemetry monitoring with remote tech support and RN verification of strip readings
• Titrate critical drips including insulin, heparin, nitro, dobutamine, dopamine, and Cardizem per med/surg guidelines
• Operate equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and trachs (no mechanical ventilation)
• Float across Region Two locations including primary facility, Lakewood, and Enumclaw as needed
• Cover Med/Surg divisions including surgical, long-term low acuity, general medical, cardiac, neuro, and ortho/spine specialties
• May be assigned to Med/Surg Oncology, ER Transition Unit areas such as CDU and MSW, or support roles as CNA or entrance screener as needed
• Use EPIC charting system

Assignment Details

• Holiday requirement includes 1-2 winter holidays
• On-call or standby commitment up to 4 times during contract duration
• Rate differential applies when floating outside primary location
• Mandatory to take breaks when offered

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years acute care experience
• Current BLS certification required
• BSN not required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,409
