Telemetry RN Job in Tacoma, WA

St Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position in Tacoma, WA. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of November 2, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12-hour day shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• 1–2 winter holidays required
• Up to 4 on-call or standby requirements during contract duration
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Role Details

You will be assigned primarily to one location with required floating throughout Region Two facilities as needed. Rate differentials apply when floated outside your primary facility. You will float to all Med/Surg and Telemetry divisions within the facility as staffing needs dictate.

• Patient ratio: 4–5 patients per RN
• CNA ratio: 8–11 patients
• Titrate drips including Insulin, Heparin, Nitro, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Cardizem per Med/Surg guidelines
• Experience with CPAP, BiPap, and Trachs required; no ventilators
• Telemetry monitored remotely by telemetry techs; you will verify strip readings
• Charting via EPIC system
• You may be assigned as a CNA or entrance screener if needed
• No specific scrub color required
• Required to take breaks when offered

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification required
• At least 2 years of acute care experience
• BSN not required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,291.85
