Emergency Room RN Job in Petoskey, MI

You will provide emergency care as a Registered Nurse in the 24/7 Emergency Department at McLaren Northern Michigan. This is a temporary position offering the chance to work in a fast-paced environment with access to specialty support services.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 nights
• Duration: 84 days
• Start date: October 5, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,453
• Weekend and holiday shifts required; 3am shift every other weekend, 7pm shift every 3rd weekend, every other holiday
• No on-call responsibilities

Your Role

You will manage patients ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening trauma situations. Your responsibilities include delivering emergency care, triaging, and collaborating with the care team in a 24/7 department setting.

Requirements

• Current Michigan nursing license with LARA and Nursys verification
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and BLS (AHA)
• Skills checklist completion within one year of application
• Travel experience preferred

Important Policies

You must maintain strict attendance standards. Three absences or instances of being more than 20 minutes late for a scheduled shift will result in immediate termination. This role requires reliability and punctuality.
