Emergency Room RN Job in Midland, MI

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at MyMichigan Health - Midland. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 21, 2026, with a 3x12 night shift schedule and every other weekend rotation required. You'll earn $2,203.20 per week with no on-call responsibilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Triage patients, obtain history and vital signs, and assess patients upon arrival
• Initiate immediate care in life-threatening situations when a physician is unavailable
• Provide care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients
• Perform nursing procedures using complex and simple skills, and assist physicians with their procedures
• Provide physical and psychological comfort to patients, families, and visitors
• Deliver discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and families
• Answer ambulance radios and provide appropriate pre-hospital care orders independently
• Work with sophisticated equipment in a frequently stressful environment
• Perform nursing assessments, intervene promptly, and participate in care planning
• Process physician and provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
• Evaluate treatment plan effectiveness and suggest improvements to patient care
• Actively collaborate with team members to update and revise treatment plans

Required qualifications:

• Active Michigan nursing license with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• 2+ years of ER experience
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Skills checklist current within one year pertinent to ER specialty
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Residence outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Preferred qualifications:

• Travel healthcare experience
• Epic electronic health record experience
