Emergency Room (ER) RN Job in Petoskey, MI

McLaren Northern Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary position in the Emergency Room (ER). You will work 3 consecutive 12-hour day shifts per week for an 84-week assignment beginning October 5, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,453.

Role and Responsibilities

You will provide emergency care for patients ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening trauma situations in a 24/7 emergency department with specialty support services available. You will work without on-call responsibilities, though weekend and holiday shifts are required: the 3 a.m. shift every other weekend, the 7 p.m. shift every third weekend, and every other holiday.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Travel experience preferred
• Current Michigan nursing license with LARA and Nursys verification
• Current ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application

Expectations

You must maintain a strict attendance policy. Three absences or instances of being more than 20 minutes late for a scheduled shift will result in immediate termination. This role does not include on-call responsibilities, allowing you predictable scheduling during your assignment.
