Telemetry RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Observation Unit in Rochester, NY. You'll work in a fast-paced setting caring for adult patients with an average length of stay of 27 hours, managing 20 to 27 patient turnovers daily.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24/7 observation unit with provider coverage on-site
• Assess patients to determine whether their conditions require hospital admission or safe discharge
• Care for diverse adult populations, including emergency observation patients and admitted boarding patients
• Work rotating shifts covering days, evenings, and nights
• Support charge duties, on-call responsibilities, and callback coverage as needed
• Maintain flexibility for holiday and weekend availability

Requirements

• Current New York RN license
• Minimum two years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification

Position Details

• 12-hour shifts
• 117-day assignment
• Start date: September 28, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,344
