Telemetry RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit in Rochester, NY. This is a 117-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, offering competitive weekly compensation of $2,393.82.

Position Overview

You will provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical nursing. You will work 12-hour shifts with variable scheduling that includes days, evenings, nights, and weekends as unit needs require. Weekly hours are flexible at 36 or 48 hours per week.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver competent patient care aligned with established clinical standards under the Nurse Manager's direction
• Monitor patients on telemetry systems and respond to cardiac rhythm changes
• Maintain accountability for clinical practice, service excellence, and professional development
• Participate in on-call and callback responsibilities as needed
• May assume charge nurse duties, preceptor roles, or committee responsibilities based on unit staffing

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience
• Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
