Telemetry RN Job in Rochester, NY

Rochester General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit. You will work 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend. This is a travel position; you must be located more than 75 miles from the facility.

Unit Overview

This is a high-volume unit caring primarily for cardiac patients, including those with congestive heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, post-device implant care (pacemakers), and arrhythmias. You will also care for general surgery patients, including colorectal, ostomy, plastic and cosmetic procedures, breast surgeries, and reconstruction cases.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for med-surg cases
• Float as needed across the unit
• Administer blood products and manage peripheral lines
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage arrhythmias
• Provide non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration
• Perform wound care and wound vac management
• Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Coordinate with rapid response and code teams

Requirements

• Active RN license for New York (must be in hand)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and valid NIHSS certifications (NIHSS must be included in your submission)
• Experience with EPIC charting
• First-time travelers are welcome

Details

You will wear any combination of navy and white scrubs. This 91-day assignment begins September 22, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,609.
