PCU Nurse Job in Sun City, AZ

Banner Boswell Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Sun City, Arizona. You will provide direct patient care in a post-surgical setting, working three 12-hour night shifts per week. This is an 89-week travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,559.

Role Responsibilities

• Care for post-surgical patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care, including discharge planning, in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members as appropriate
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Float between Boswell and Del Webb campuses as needed, with Boswell as the primary campus

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
