ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

You're invited to join Mission Hospital's Emergency Department as a traveling RN. This is a backfill position at a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center in Asheville, NC, where you'll deliver emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population.

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct patient care in a busy emergency department
• Support trauma cases at a Level II trauma center
• Assist with stroke care protocols in a comprehensive stroke center
• Work with pediatric emergency services—the region's only children's hospital is part of this facility
• Collaborate with 30 pediatric subspecialists on complex cases
• Support coordination for emergency patients requiring the region's busiest robotic surgery program
• Assist with emergency cases for patients needing open heart and interventional cardiology services, the only such services in the region

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, nights (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 29, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,085
• Facility type: Free-standing emergency department within a major medical center
