Med Surg RN Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical position. This is a 98-day travel assignment starting September 28, 2026, with a weekly pay of $1,654.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 Days (every other weekend required)
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics with a focus on Renal Med Surg
• Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 across 49 rooms with average daily census of 48
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Georgia or Compact nursing license
• BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic charting, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Navy Blue scrubs

Essential Clinical Skills:

• BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management
• Colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin administration
• High flow nasal cannula (HFNC), insulin administration, isolation precautions and PPE
• Telemetry monitoring, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care
• Wound care and wound vac, PICC line management, PCA, phlebotomy, and IV placement and maintenance

Time Off and Holiday Coverage:

• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at submission
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment, you are expected to work all of them
• If three major holidays fall within the assignment, you are expected to work two
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Support and Equipment:

• Interdisciplinary support available: IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Lifting equipment provided
