PCU RN Job in Bridgeport, West Virginia

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at WVU United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 7, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,341.

Shift and Schedule

• Work three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Weekends scheduled as required, with an every-other-weekend rotation
• Holiday schedule equates to approximately every other holiday
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract

Unit Overview

You'll care for patients in an 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. One Patient Care Technician (PCT) is available per shift. You may float to other units as needed.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Titrate vasoactive drips including Nitroglycerin up to 150 mcg/kg/min, Neo up to 100 mcg/min, and Cardene up to 10 mg/hr
• Monitor and read telemetry strips for all patients
• Operate BiPAP and CPAP equipment
• Manage common diagnoses including post MI with sheath pull, acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF), post-operative vascular patients, GI bleed, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Perform charting in the EPIC electronic health record system

Requirements and Dress Code

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Dress code: royal blue scrubs with white, royal blue, or black undershirts
