PCU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Swedish CO is seeking an RN for their Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Denver. This is a 12-week travel nursing assignment with a start date of October 5, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in a 20-bed Multi Trauma Unit. Your patient ratio is 1:4, with a charge nurse dedicated to administrative duties and free of patient assignment. Day shift staffing includes one charge nurse, five RNs, and three techs, ensuring adequate support in this acute care environment.

Clinical Responsibilities

You will manage a highly acute patient population requiring expertise with:

• Mechanical ventilators and respiratory equipment
• Feeding pumps, IV pumps, and infusion management
• Wound vacs and specialty support surfaces
• Chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and suctioning
• Chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopy procedures

The unit utilizes Meditech/CPN for electronic medical records.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital PCU experience
• BLS certification (current)
• ACLS certification (current)
• Demonstrated ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, tracheostomies, and suction

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Meditech experience
• NIH certification

Compensation & Duration
