ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
• Call required every other weekend and holiday rotation as necessary
• Weekend coverage required
• Scrubs not provided; navy blue scrub color required
• 2 years of minimum experience required
• Must have completed a minimum of 1 previous travel assignment
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Treat patients with urgent and emergent needs across a combined adult and pediatric emergency department with approximately 115-150 visits per day
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, and TNCC
• Required skills: IV starts and phlebotomy
• Preferred skills: Cerner charting, charge experience, triage, and preceptor experience
• Clinicians will be trained on the unit before being expected to work charge
• Perform central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medication administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Interdisciplinary support available including interpretation services, radiology, social services, transportation, and unit secretary
