PCU RN Job in Omaha, NE

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, Nebraska. This 91-day travel assignment runs from December 7, 2026, with 3x12-hour night shifts at $2,370 per week.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shifts: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every third holiday required
• No on-call or standby duties

Unit Details

The 35-bed PCU serves adult and geriatric patients with common diagnoses including cardiac conditions, nephrology, strokes, diabetes management, and continuous EEG monitoring. You'll manage a patient ratio of 1:4–5 with nurse aide or patient care tech support at 1:10 or 2:20. A charge nurse is available each shift.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
• Floating to medical floors, ICU, or rehab may be required
• Charting via EPIC system

Requirements & Certifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license required at submission
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care departments

Onboarding

Orientation includes one week of onboarding followed by 1–2 days of floor-specific orientation. You must pass a fail open-book exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.

Time Off

Time off requests must be submitted upfront and are limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract.
