PCU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 3x12 day shift position with an 89-week duration, starting October 26, 2026. You will earn $2,541 weekly.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of other licensed nurses and healthcare personnel
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a legible and timely manner
• Participate in shared leadership, staff education, precepting, and mentoring activities
• Work varied schedules including weekends, holidays, and float assignments per department guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience, with specialty area experience within the past 12 months
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and meet physical demands of direct patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification in your specialty
