Job Details:

• Specialty focus on abdominal transplant surgeries including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral procedures
• Shift options include 8 and 10-hour shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per workweek, three 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per workweek, or four 12-hour shifts with 48 guaranteed hours per workweek
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call requirement of 40-60 hours per 6-week period
• Floating required across multi-specialty, all surgeries, and may include floating to assist with pediatric transplant cases (pediatric experience preferred but not required)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Minimum 2 years of strong transplant experience required; 3 years of overall experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of strong transplant experience
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS, Regulatory Charting for Transplants
• Patient age groups served: Adults and Geriatrics
• Required skills include: transplant surgery scrubbing, organ donation, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, laparoscopic assisted procedures, robotic surgery, cell saver, laser safety, radiation safety, fire safety, latex allergy protocols, universal protocol (time out) procedure, and specimen handling/labeling
• Indiana nursing license, temporary license, or compact license required at time of start
• Local travelers with permanent residence in Indiana are accepted
