Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 and 48-hour contracts accepted
• Every other weekend required
• Must be able to work holidays - must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• No call required
• Float required as needed to ED and MedSurg areas
• Patient ratios: MS/Tele 1:6-1:7; PCU patients 1:3-1:4
• ED Holding unit - patients located within the Emergency Department waiting for an inpatient bed
• Patients may have any medical/surgical adult diagnosis including PCU level patients
• Must be able to keep up with fast-paced unit
• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations
• 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• MS/Tele and ER holding experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Special equipment: cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and other standard monitoring systems
• Medication and documentation systems: Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR
• Scrubs: Navy
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• NC or Compact license required
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract - no RTO during first week and no additional RTO after signing
