Med Surg RN Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered nurse for a 117-day travel assignment at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. You will work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, and nights, with weekend and holiday coverage as needed by the unit.

About the Role

You will provide specialized nursing care to adult patients (age 18+) with complex, end-of-life symptom management needs. Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver intensive symptom management and comfort-focused care
• Provide general medicine overflow support as the unit requires
• Demonstrate strong IV insertion and wound care skills
• Support patients and families navigating crisis situations
• Use keen assessment abilities to advocate for patients who may have lost the ability to communicate
• Manage patient-controlled analgesia pumps

What We're Looking For

You hold a current New York State RN license and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. You bring at least 2 years of recent experience in palliative care or acute medical-surgical nursing. Experience with PCA pumps or CHPN certification is highly valued. Telemetry experience is not required.

Assignment Details

This is a 117-day assignment beginning September 28, 2026. You will earn $2,344 per week and work 12-hour shifts. The facility is URMC Strong Memorial Hospital, a Level 2 facility providing comprehensive medical and surgical services.
