Med Surg RN Job in Rochester, NY

You will join URMC Strong Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse in our Level 2 Rehabilitation unit, providing direct patient care across a 117-day assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work 36 hours per week in 12-hour shifts, with day, evening, and night rotations available. Holidays and weekends are required per unit policy. You will care for medically complex patients across multiple diagnostic categories, including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, trauma, orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, oncology, pediatric cases, solid organ transplant, and heart failure. Your role centers on clinical care and emotional support as patients and families work toward independence within an interdisciplinary team model serving both pediatric and adult populations.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Recent pediatric experience preferred

Compensation and Details

You will earn $2,368.08 per week. The assignment runs 117 days at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Shifts are available in 12-hour formats as noted above.
