PCU Registered Nurse Job in Atlanta, GA

Grady Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 3x12 night shift position with a duration of 89 days, starting November 16, 2026. You will earn $1,918.44 per week.

Role Overview

You will work in a medical step-down unit with 6–20 beds, managing a patient ratio of 1:4. Your responsibilities include direct patient care, monitoring, and clinical assessment for patients with complex medical conditions.

Patient Population

You will care for patients with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Unit and Float Responsibilities

While assigned to the PCU, you may be floated to intermediate care units (IMCU), with 5J and 12A being the most common. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to this role.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
