PCU RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN for its 28-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Rochester, NY. This is a 12-hour shift position with a 96-week duration, starting October 12, 2026. You will earn $2,344 weekly.

About the Role

You will provide nursing care to post-operative patients across multiple surgical specialties, including gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and head and neck surgery patients, as well as those with oncological diseases. Your responsibilities will include direct patient care, monitoring via telemetry, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery and comfort.

Schedule and Expectations

• 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule covering days, evenings, and nights
• Weekend, holiday, on-call, callback, and charge duties as needed
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to unit needs

Requirements

• Current New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to care for a varied patient population in a dynamic environment
