Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 34-bed unit with an average daily census of 27
• Every other weekend shift required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Holiday coverage expected based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; time off must be finalized at time of submission
• Patient diagnoses include Appendicitis, Cholecystitis, Small Bowel Obstruction, Pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, HTN, hypo/hyperglycemia, Prostatectomy, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Ostomy creation/reversal, Exploratory Lap, and Bowel Resections
• Equipment experience required includes nasogastric tubes (NGT), chest tubes, feeding tubes, and wound vacs
• Unit systems used: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
