Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. This is a 154-day travel assignment starting August 17, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,258.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Day shift hours: 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts as needed
• 12-hour cancellation notice required every 2 weeks

Unit Overview

• 44-bed acute care unit with 40 staff members
• Patient ratio of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights
• CNA support available at ratios of 1:8, generally 1:10; CNAs may also serve as sitters
• Telemetry monitored on a different unit
• Scrub color required: Caribbean Blue

Floating and Responsibilities

• Floating required to all acute care units, cardio for medical patients, and emergency care for acute care patient holds

Systems and Training

• Charting system: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
• 1 week of general orientation including EMR training
• 2 days of floor-specific orientation

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience with at least 1 travel assignment
• BLS certification (AHA)
• NIHSS certification (AHA)
• Must reside within a strict 75-mile radius from the hospital (verified on driver's license)
• BSN not required
