Telemetry RN Job in Lees Summit, MO

BJC West – Saint Lukes East in Lees Summit, Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telemetry. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights
• Weekly pay: $2,294
• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• No on-call required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Community hospital experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS; CPI preferred
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility

Schedule & Staffing

• Minimum 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week period (Friday, Saturday, Sunday combination)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Block scheduling not available

Clinical Skills Required

• Cardiac monitoring, telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Post-cardiac angiogram and post-MI care
• Feeding tube care, hemodialysis management, renal failure care
• Central line, peripheral, and PICC line management; IV starts
• Heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), PCA
• Airway management: BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care
• Surgical drains, chest tubes, ABG interpretation, wound care and wound vac
• Isolation precautions, rapid response team coordination

Preferred Skills

• Sheath removal, port access, phlebotomy, total joint replacement care

Patient Population

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including acute MI, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, chest pain, vascular/peripheral vascular disease, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, suicidal ideation, and GI bleed. Experience with pre- and post-catheterization patients and femoral line/groin site management is essential.
