ED Registered Nurse Job in Rochester, NY

Rochester General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 13-week travel contract beginning November 24, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,516.

Schedule and Location

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5 serving adult and geriatric populations

Requirements

• Active New York Single State RN license required at submission
• Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Must be located more than 75 miles from the facility

Clinical Skills and Responsibilities

• IV therapy including blood product administration and central line care
• Phlebotomy and IV initiation and maintenance
• IV vasopressor administration
• CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator management
• CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI care
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Emergency care for adult and pediatric patients including gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma
• Isolation precautions and triage
• Pediatric spinal cord injury care
• Floating within skillset required

Equipment and Support

• Equipment includes Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling devices
• Interdisciplinary support available: IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Dress Code

• Any combination of navy blue and white scrubs
