Operating Room RN Job in Las Cruces, NM

Mountainview Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for a travel position in the Operating Room. You will work a 3x12 day schedule on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with an option to extend to 48 hours per week. The assignment runs for 91 days, beginning August 3, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,019.60.

Role Responsibilities

• Serve as circulating nurse responsible for patient safety, documentation, workflow coordination, and sterile field support during surgical procedures
• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across General, Orthopedics, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry surgical specialties within a Level III Trauma facility
• Perform patient assessment and advocacy, surgical case preparation, equipment and supply management, documentation, specimen handling, and medication administration
• Coordinate care throughout the intraoperative phase, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient surgical workflow
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, first assistants, and multidisciplinary team members
• Advocate for patient safety and adherence to evidence-based practices and sterile technique standards

Requirements and Details

• RN degree required
• 2+ years of OR nursing experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Call responsibility with call split among OR RNs, averaging 7 calls per 6-week period (weekday call 3:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekend call 12-hour shifts)
• Holiday coverage required
• Maximum 1 week of requested time off
• No floating required
• Hospital-provided, laundered scrubs
