PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts starting promptly at 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM - late arrivals are not tolerated
• Every other weekend availability required along with holiday or hard-to-fill availability, 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per schedule
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Must have Step-Down and Cardiac Drips experience including Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, and similar medications
• Must be experienced with BIPAP/CPAP/High Flow oxygen therapy and Sepsis management
• Experience with Post Cath without intervention and Chest Tubes required
• Occasional bedside Cardioversion performed on unit
• May float to other Step-Down units (4:1 ratio) or Med/Surg units (6:1 ratio)
• Work with equipment including ZOLL, Baxter pumps, GE telemetry monitors, iMobile, Hillrom beds, Centrella Specialty beds, and Kangaroo pumps
• Documentation completed using Expanse system
• Required certification: ACLS
• Dress code: All navy blue or all white scrubs, closed-toe shoes, no Crocs; HCA/Hospital branded T-shirts are permitted
• Attendance at shift huddle is mandatory
• Bedside shift report including patient in conversation is mandatory for all patients including isolation patients
