Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work on the 11 West Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, head/neck/back trauma, elective neurosurgeries, and radical neck surgeries related to trauma or cancer
• Unit consists of 34 beds with 6 progressive and 15 total telemetry patients
• Primary unit for Neurology, Neurosurgery, and ENT services; additional services include surgery trauma, orthopedics, general surgery, and medicine
• Stable ventilator patients may be assigned within the PCU
• Self-scheduling unit with weekend coverage required
• Every other weekend (EOW) and 2 holidays required per contract
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required, no exceptions
• Required certification: BLS
• Skills required: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and telemetry
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Candidates may float within scope if needed
• Natural nail policy enforced
• Virginia or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal
• 2 references required
