Med Surg RN Job in Omaha, NE

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026, with three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM). Your weekly pay is $2,310.

Your Role:

• Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with stroke, spinal cord injuries, amputations, brain injuries, critical illness, and neurological conditions including MS and Parkinson's disease
• Work with a patient ratio of 1:6 on nights
• Float to Med Surg units as needed
• Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and patient care technicians each shift
• Use EPIC charting system

Schedule & Requirements:

• Cyclic self-scheduling is available
• Minimum every 3rd weekend required
• Minimum 2 holidays per contract
• No call or standby requirements
• Current BLS certification required
• You must pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation; failure to pass will result in contract termination
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas

Orientation:

• Classroom orientation plus two 12-hour shifts of unit-specific training

Qualifications:

• Strong communication, organizational, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential
• You must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• You cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
