Telemetry RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a 16-bed telemetry unit at Nashville General Hospital at Meharry, caring for the forensic population including state and local prison and jail patients. This is a locked incarcerated/forensic unit, and you must be comfortable working with this patient population.

Role Details:

• 3x12 night shifts; 98-day assignment starting November 2, 2026
• Float required to other med/surg areas, telemetry units, forensics, inpatient units, and potentially ICU
• Weekend coverage required: 6 shifts every 6-week period
• Holiday rotation participation required—you must work 3 of 6 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Strict no-call policy enforced

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI certifications required (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Skills in chemotherapy administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring
• Pre-start EKG test required—prepare accordingly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous charge nurse experience

Compensation:

• Weekly pay: $1,944
