Job Details:

• Day shift position in the Emergency Room
• 3x12 shift schedule working 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
• 2 weekends required every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday for day shift)
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Scrub color: Navy
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Emergency department handles approximately 127 visits per day with 38 beds
• Unit includes a separate area for psychiatric patients and some pediatric patients
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• Required clinical skills include: triage, IV insertion and maintenance, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG/ECG, blood product administration, management of dysrhythmias, interpretation of ABGs, procedural sedation monitoring, central line care, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, IV vasopressors, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Facility is both STEMI and Stroke certified
