Med Surg RN Job in Madison, WI

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at UnityPoint-Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a 3x12 night shift schedule, providing you with predictable weekends off every other week and no on-call responsibilities.

Position Requirements:

• Current Wisconsin nursing license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
• At least 1 completed travel contract (preferred)
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• One supervisory reference required at submission
• Taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility, verified by driver's license

Your Role:

You will provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients, including those with neuro conditions and post-surgical needs. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, contributing your clinical knowledge to patient care management and outcomes. The unit uses the EPIC electronic medical record system. You may be asked to float to other locations within the same discipline across local campuses.

Compensation and Schedule:

You will earn $2,369 per week working three 12-hour night shifts. The assignment runs for 91 days, beginning November 9, 2026, with every other weekend off and no on-call duties.
