Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 3 days per week scheduled
• 12 estimated hours per week
• Independently perform imaging and interventional procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes
• Demonstrate proper positioning and appropriate radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures
• Support other departments performing general radiographic procedures as needed
• Foster an environment that supports aseptic technique and patient safety including time-out processes
• Administer contrast in accordance with assigned protocols under the direction of the proceduralist
• Communicate clearly with patients and co-workers while maintaining a high level of caring, dignity, and respect
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results
• Document patient history in electronic records as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving, and charges are adequately entered
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Must be a graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology
• Required certifications: ARRT Certificate, or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73 compliance required
